ADD-ON TRAINING COURSE: DOSING – IT’S A MATTER OF TIME (Feb 4)
The PA Septage Management Association (PSMA) will be joining with the PA Association of Sewage Enforcement Officers (PASEO) to offer a joint conference & trade show on Feb 4-6, 2024, in Harrisburg, PA!
We have scheduled a variety of optional full-day and half-day training course options on Sunday (Feb 4), Monday (Feb 5), and Tuesday (Feb 6) for those attendees who want a more in-depth education on select topics. These Add-on training courses are at additional cost. Since you must be attending the conference to sign-up for these courses, they have been discounted 50% or more from their typical price. Dosing It’s a Matter of Time – Training Course (half day – 1:00pm-4:30pm)

Attendees can optionally register for this training course for an additional fee. The distribution of effluent throughout onsite systems does impact the long-term performance of the drain field. This course will summarize how effluent is really distributed in gravity and pressure dosed systems with emphasis on biomat development and long- term soil acceptance. Various concepts of dosing will be discussed focusing on time dosing and how it promotes system performance. Attendees will learn simplistic ways to incorporate time-dosing into any onlot system design and will see how time-dosing can be a good insurance policy for homeowners for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
